Vibrant colors scattered around in the shape of a thousand tiny broken pieces. You look down at your tired and loving hands and found meaning. Wild dreams and searing emotions. Messengers in the chaos of life have spoken; you are not broken; you are alive and open.

In Buddhism, a broken heart is demonstrated as the chaos that bounces around walls searching for containment. It’s why we often feel lost and hectic during challenging times. The object searching for containment is our emotions, and if we never were taught to create a safe space to allow emotions to pass through, we will feel like we are in a constant state of chaos.
This is why I am writing more poetry and prose. I believe emotions come into our lives to move us in the direction of who we are born to be. Poetry and prose allow me to process emotions and live a more fulfilled life. My work creates containers for my emotions to pass through without bouncing around mindlessly.
Emotions are messengers in life. They tell you where you need to take action. They tell you a lot about who you are and how you show up to the world. And like anything, developing a better relationship with emotions is a practice.
When it comes to emotions, you must remember all your feelings are valid. There is no need to defend how you feel. Remember, emotions are messengers. Allow yourself to feel, and create a container for your emotions to pass through. I believe in you.
