Meaning Does Not Follow Pleasure, Pleasure Comes From Meaning

It's time to give yourself permission to slow down
Out there, people are searching forsomething they will never see
I wonder how their hearts would feel if they took a few moments
to step in between and breathe

Most people can’t see the vibrantcolors all around
between surrender and resistance, the truth will be found

How could your life be different if you surrendered this search
a part of you has called you hereto listen to these words

You have an incredible story to tell and live. Though life might make you feel as if you need more or are lost at times, a part of you has called you here to read these words and surrender your search. Everything you desire in life is within but has not simply come awake. It's a feeling. A vibration of energy waiting to be seen and heard. But to awaken, you must give yourself permission to drop out of your head and into your heart. So, I'll begin this week by asking a question given to me when I was asleep and committed to a life of running " what is your relationship to slowing down?"

The center point of all life happens the moment you give yourself permission to breathe and believe in what you cannot yet see. You must get curious about everything in life because this moment is infinite, and if you are committed to a life of comfort, you'll forever be asleep. This is why Buddhists practiced meditation and mindfulness. To befriend everything they are with a childlike curiosity for themselves and the world.

No two humans are alike, which means if you keep running from place to place, you'll forever be split into two worlds that do not serve you because you have made a story in the world you are livign in now and the world you wish you could live. But you are what you experience and life is happening for you whether you see it or not.

Alan Watts, a famous philosopher said, seeking life can be fun, but every search in life imposes you will find something later, and postpone what is happening now.

In fact, it must be said that anyone who has ever lived a life worth living has surrendered the search. Because meaning does not follow pleasure, pleasure comes from meaning. There is no present moment for people who exist in life. There is only a constant search which leads to a life of emptiness. So if we wish to create a life we want to live in, we must give ourselves permission to believe in what we cannot see. We must surrender our search, or at least discover how to need nothing but the love we have for ourselves in those moments that make us want to run.
